HOUSTON, TEXAS — July 14, 2026 — Houston Bank & Trust (“HB&T”), Houston’s newest de novo financial institution, has selected 2603 Augusta as the home of its banking headquarters, trust department, and flagship retail banking branch in Houston’s Galleria/Uptown Corridor.

HB&T recently announced that it had received full regulatory approval to commence operations with full banking and trust powers. The bank is led by a seasoned executive team including CEO Mark Simmons, President Mark Jacobs, Chief Financial Officer Jerry Cooksey, and Trust President Adam Suhr.

Houston Bank & Trust will establish a full-service retail banking presence within the lobby of 2603 Augusta, providing convenient banking services to tenants, neighboring businesses, and the surrounding community. In addition, the bank’s executive banking offices and trust department headquarters will occupy the entire 6th floor of the building, creating a significant presence within one of Houston’s premier business districts.

HB&T has signed a long-term lease at 2603 Augusta and plans significant investment into its banking and trust operations as the institution continues expanding its presence throughout the Houston market.
