Outgrowing your space? Tenant representation services from LandPark Commercial can help.

Frank's International is increasing the amount of office space it uses at its Westchase location, the Houston Business Journal reported. The oil services company, which is also expanding with new office buildings in Alvin and Lafayette, will move from two floors of its Houston facility -- equaling 47,000 square-feet -- to four floors by year's end. Eventually, the company intends on occupying all seven floors of the more than 112,000 square-foot building.

Frank's Houston employees have nearly doubled since the end of 2013, recently numbering at 160 with hiring still taking place. The company is based in the Netherlands, but its Houston location is the operational headquarters, something that the chairman and CEO, Keith Mosing, says makes him proud.

The growth, Mosing explained, is primarily due to an increase in regulations, as well as the need for more engineers and what the company sees as more requirements for the equipment it manufactures and the technology it utilizes.

Many companies in the Houston area own their buildings and have the opportunity to create more space for themselves as needed. However, for companies who lease their space, expansion often requires seeking a facility that gives them more breathing room and yet keeps them in a location where they can best reach their customers.
