Have You Outgrown Your Space? Houston Office Leasing Brokers Can Help.
October 15, 2014
Pacific Drilling had a big problem with its Galleria location, according to a report from the Houston Business Journal. It had outgrown the space. Upon considering what the company needed in terms of size, however, other issues were identified. Company officials wanted a location that was more convenient for their employees. They wanted better parking. They wanted prominent building signage so people would know they're here.
They found all of those things at their new location in the Energy Corridor, the article stated. The company will be taking the top three floors and some space on the first floor of a 14-story office tower. Their amount of office space will now be around 70,000 square feet -- more than twice what they had at the Galleria location. They plan to renovate the space as the employees move into it.
The Energy Corridor along the Katy Freeway is bustling with activity these days, the article stated, with 22 office buildings with a combined space of over 5.47 million square feet under construction. Of the new construction, more than 60 percent has been preleased. The area has a vacancy rate of below 3.5 percent for Class A office space.
